Who I Work With
Life happens in a series of moments that are both beautiful and painful at times. These moments have a way of cumulating in our bodies and memories and impact our day to day calm, peace and happiness. We may feel irritable or struggle with worries that we are not sure why they are there.

I’m Jackie Boyer a Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges and transitions. Over the years, I’ve learned that healing happens in the presence of trust, and genuine connection. I believe that a warm, supportive relationship is at the heart of meaningful therapy.
I became a therapist because I deeply understand how layered and complex life can be. Over the years, I’ve navigated my own journey of healing and growth — learning that creating a well-lived life takes intention, courage, and support. These experiences shaped my belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, not just survive. I know how easy it can be to get caught in patterns of doing, coping, and carrying for others while losing touch with our own needs and sense of balance. My work is rooted in the belief that with the right support and connection, it’s possible to move beyond survival mode and build a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and fully your own.
I value the therapy space as a time to pause, process, and gently move through the places where we feel stuck. I see healing as a holistic process — one that involves calming and reconnecting the body, mind, and spirit. In our work together, I aim to create an environment that feels safe, nurturing, and restorative, where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to make sense of your experiences. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and work toward balance, self-understanding, and a renewed sense of peace and possibility.
My Approach
Jackie works alongside clients to create a path forward that feels authentic and empowering, one that reflects their values, voice, and goals. Clients can expect compassion, curiosity, and collaboration in every session. Her approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, always meeting clients where they are, moving at their pace, and honouring what matters most to them.
Drawing from years of real-world experience, Jackie helps clients gain clarity, build resilience, and reconnect with their inner strength. When working with couples, Jackie incorporates an attachment-focused lens to help partners deepen understanding and connection.
Her extensive professional background includes work in children’s mental health, child welfare, and the education system, equipping her to support children, youth, adults, and couples. Jackie is also trained in suicide intervention, restorative practices, traumatic event response, and Violence Threat Risk Assessment (Level 2).
