Who I Work With
Lately, have you been feeling less like the person you once were? You feel disconnected from the life that used to bring you joy and satisfaction. Perhaps you’ve experienced a dramatic life event or transition that has brought about this change? You’ve moved, ended school, started a new job, or begun a new relationship. Maybe it is more related to the loss of something or someone in your life. Possibly the change has been more subtle and unexplainable, and you just don’t feel like yourself anymore.
I can help. I understand that life can throw us curveballs that we are rarely ready for. These moments can feel confusing, overwhelming, and at times, isolating.
I support individuals 18+ with varying mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, and various life transitions (new parenthood, work leave, divorce, perimenopause, retirement). No matter what brings you here, you do not have to navigate it on your own.
My Approach
Rochelle is a Registered Psychotherapist who was an educator for more than twenty years. She spent most of that time supporting students with special education needs, providing individualized, strength-based support. As a teacher, she wanted to prioritize her attention on the social and emotional wellness of others. As a psychotherapist, that continues to be her primary focus and passion.
Rochelle truly believes that therapy is beneficial for each and every one of us. She knows she would not be who she is today without the collaborative work she did in therapy with her counsellor. This perspective shapes the way she shows up in her work, with care, understanding, and a strong belief in the therapeutic relationship.
Rochelle’s style as a therapist is Rogerian and relational. She works from an eclectic and integrative lens, utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, polyvagal theory, EMDR, and parts work. Together, she works with clients to uncover their greatest strengths as they explore what is most important to them. She understands that each person’s experience is unique and approaches the therapy journey one step at a time, at a pace that feels right.
